Where we meet together
Sunday Service
We hold our Sunday Metro gatherings once every 14 days at 4:00 p.m. (at the former Lípa movie theater at Třída Svornosti 2a).
It’s an opportunity for us to come together in quiet reflection, but also to spend some informal time together. The venue opens at 3:30 p.m., and you can enjoy a cup of coffee in the lobby; the service itself begins at 4:00 p.m. and lasts about 75 minutes. After the program, there is time for informal fellowship and refreshments.
A children’s program is provided during the main service, and English translation is available if needed.
Sunday school for kids
On Sundays, we offer a program not only for “grown-ups” but also for children (known as “Vagónek”).
We currently have two age groups: preschoolers (ages 4 to 6) and school-age children (ages 7 to 12).
On Sundays, children typically hear a Bible story and participate in active games or arts and crafts.
You’ll also find a separate room with toys for the youngest children, where parents can take their very youngest children.
Special events
Twice a year, we also hold joint gatherings as part of the Maják network. Typically in March, we meet in Vsetín with other Churches in the network for one Sunday.
Also on the first Sunday in September, we kick off the school year together with other partnering Churches.
RELAX retreat
Each Lifegroup usually organizes its own events and weekend trips throughout the year, but once a year we all go on a weekend trip to the countryside together.
It’s a great opportunity to spend some quality time together; there’s a program for the kids, an outing, and some more relaxing activities.
Worship nights
Depending on our capacity, we also enjoy hosting worship nights. Traditionally, one takes place during our Relax retreat, but we also hold one during the year on Tř. Svornosti.
Sirka Club
The Sirka Club for children ages 4 and up meets throughout the week.
