Metro Church Olomouc
Church is more than just a building or a service: it’s about people. We aim to be an open, understandable church – to Christians, seekers, non-believers, and even people of other beliefs. English translation is provided for our services, and most of our members are fluent in English. Experience Metro – a different kind of church.
Communities
Unlike many traditional churches, we have decided to focus on communities: smaller groups of 10-15 people knowing each other thoroughly, sharing life together, and helping each other through their ups and downs. Through communities, we develop the experience of family within the church.
Union
Metro Union is more than just student meetings—it’s a family where one can belong, develop their gifts, and serve others. We encourage one another in developing our relationship with God, and are also open to anyone willing to know more about God, Jesus or the Bible.
Sunday Meetings
Our Sunday meetings are contemporary, understandable services that include worship songs, teaching, refreshments, and an opportunity to catch up with friends. A childrens’ program and translation to English are available.
Communities meet on weekday afternoons from Monday to Thursday, usually at the Metro office (address Polska 29). Tuesday gatherings are part of the Metro Union ministry. More information about dates and times are available on Facebook.
Union meets every Tuesday evening throughout the winter and summer semesters, alternating between larger seminars and smaller communities every other week. English translation is provided for the big seminars, and one of the community groups is English-speaking. During the summer holidays, the meetings are more informal and often take place outside; please check @metrounion on Instagram or Facebook for up-to-date announcements.
We gather every other Sunday at 4PM. You can look forward to music, sermon and an informal part of the gathering with friends and small refreshments. We meet at the former Lipa Theatre at the corner of Třída Svornosti and Litovelská.
